To all the customers I've tried to give a fair price to: Space-T's will no longer be selling Union Pacific trademarked Jackets
The letter below from Union Pacific tells the story.
Ray Carver
Streck9@earthlink.net
Dear Mr. Carver:
Your company sells products bearing trademarks registered by the Union
Pacific Corporation or the Union Pacific Railroad Company. The names,
symbols and heralds of the constituent and historic railroads that
currently make up the Union Pacific system are used in a variety of
applications and have been registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office to prevent misuse or dilution of our corporate and historic
identity. Any use of these marks without our permission infringes upon our
right to control the manner of usage of this valuable commercial property.
Union Pacific prohibits the use of any Union Pacific trademark by anyone
who has not entered into a licensing agreement. Our licensing program is
explained in greater detail on our Internet site at
www.up.com under
“General Public/Corporate Information/Licensing Program.”
If you are producing or manufacturing products with Union Pacific
trademarks you may apply for a trademark use agreement. There is typically
a royalty fee for use of Union Pacific trademarks.
If you are primarily a retail outlet and do not produce or manufacture
products bearing Union Pacific trademarks, please provide us with a letter
indicating that you do not produce or manufacture products bearing our
trademarks. If you provide the names of your suppliers, we can confirm
whether they are licensed to produce products bearing Union Pacific
trademarks.
Please respond within 10 business days of receipt of this letter with one
of the following: a completed licensing application, confirmation of your
intention to cease any and all use of Union Pacific trademarks within 60
days of receipt of this letter, or a letter stating that you are solely a
retail outlet.
If you have any questions, please contact me via Internet at
BrendaMainwaring@UP.com, by phone

Sincerely,
Brenda Mainwaring
